Our first week in E-learning was quiet interesting about brainstorming tools, the tools we looked at were bubbl.us and text2mind.
most of the classrooms I have taught in have had an interactive white board but I have never thought of using these tools for mind maps instead opting for traditional paper and pen. I think if i did use this tool in the classroom I would still ask the students to do it on paper first and then as a whole class do one on the white board and collaboratively construct it from input from all students.
i found that bubbl.us was an easier tool to navigate and construct maps were as text2 you had to type a list first before seeing the results.
